Tesla Roadster’s new Launch date pushed back and Full self-driving update promised by the end of 2021

The second-generation Tesla Roadster production start date has been pushed back more than Lebron James hairline, but it seems to be closer to becoming a reality. inadequate tri-motor system and battery technology were once a reason for the delay, but those technologies are finally where they need to be for Tesla to proceed with moving forward and be able to produce a product that will live up to the hype. Tesla’s base Roadster will start at  $200,000 and a Founders Series which is limited to only 1,000 will be priced at $50,000 more.

Elon Musk tweeted “Finishing engineering this year, production starts next year. Aiming to have release candidate design drivable late summer. Tri-motor drive system & advanced battery work were important precursors.” Tesla’s new Roadster will be a two-seater hypercar slayer with capabilities that are basically unmatched in the market today. The Roadster can sprint from 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds and complete a quarter-mile in 9 seconds. Tesla’s Roadster isn’t only quick it can achieve a top speed of 250mph while having the range to travel up to 620 miles on a single charge

Not only has there been Roadster news, but Elon Musk has also claimed that full self-driving would be available by the end of 2021. Tesla’s that have been previously sold could have purchased the option to have FSD technology once it was available as a package. The package was once set at $7,000 and since has increased to $10,000. Elon Musk has stated that if previous Tesla owners upgraded to a newer model they will not be able to transfer over their FSD package and possibly have wasted a nice chunk of change. If you don’t have a spare $10,000 laying around Tesla has stated that you can get access to its full self-driving package by paying monthly. Tesla hasn’t released a monthly rate, but FastMint believes that it may be set at $100 a month.
