All-wheel drive cars offer many benefits over traditional rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive cars especially In colder climates where front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive cars suffer from traction during the wintertime the all-wheel-drive systems shine. All Wheel Drive vehicles are typically a little more expensive due to their drivetrain so it’s smart buying used when the vehicles depreciate. Here are some great luxury cars that you can buy for under 10k.

2008 Volvo XC70

If you want a great dependable wagon and would like another option besides a Subaru the Volvo XC70 is a fine alternative. The XC70 is very roomy and has a lot of space for cargo without having to fold down the rear seats making this a great all-around vehicle. When it comes to safety Volvo is always at the top of the list as being one of the safest car manufacturers and most people don’t realize in 1959 Volvo introduced and patented the three-point safety belt, making Volvo the first automobile manufacturer to have safety belts standard. If you commute often the seats will make it a little easier on them because they are comfortable. The 3.2 liter inline 6 motor produces 235 horsepower and gets 15 in the city and 22 mpg on the highway making the fuel economy my only complaint. Comfortable seats.

2008 Acura RL

For a car that was nearly 50k brand new, the Acura does a lot of things well, but not great in any area besides giving you Honda’s legendary reliability. The Acura RL comes standard with a 3.5-liter VTEC V-6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and is mounted to a five-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission that actually produces a smooth drive. When it comes to space the RL is slightly larger than the Acura TL and for a 2008 model gives you some great standard features like keyless entry as well as a Bose audio system with DVD-Audio and also have the option to have Acura’s Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control. If you go with the Technology Package option the navigation system which includes a real-time traffic-monitoring function for major U.S. cities

2010 G37x

The G37 is an amazing car and will be on many of my lists due to just how great this platform is. Not only is the G37 come standard rear-wheel drive, but there is an all-wheel-drive option that goes by the name of the G37x. Why I praise this car so much is that it is majority built from the 370z so you get the power and characteristics of a proven sports car with added space and Luxury giving you the best of both worlds. The G37x comes equipped with Infiniti’s ATTESA E-TS full-time all-wheel-drive system and it helps transfer the 328 horsepower to the ground giving you the ultimate grip. If you want a vehicle that competes with higher in luxury vehicles for the fraction of the cost this is a great consideration.
